Kraken Raises $800MM at ~$20Bn Valuation and Files Confidential S-1

Kraken today announced the investment of $200M from Citadel Securities at a valuation of $20Bn. The investment comes following a previously unconfirmed $600M funding round in September, with participants including Jane Street, DRW, Oppenheimer and Tribe Capital among others.
Kraken announced last week its confidential S-1 filing with the SEC, signaling the company’s move toward public market readiness ahead of its planned IPO next year.
